iPOD opens iTunes when connection unchecked

Hi,

my new iPOD IOS 11.1.1 when connected to my PC (W10) opens the iTunes even when my iTunes settings are UNCHECKED at "Open iTunes when this iPOD is connected". So the iTunes should not open. Yet the iTUNES always open.

Any advise appreciated.
