Speaker warranty voided?

Hi, i have a iPhone 7 and its still in warranty. I took it to Apple store for a fault on the speaker where the camera is. The speaker is faulty and the sound is distorted. Apple ran some tests and confirmed it is faulty and will fix it by fittinf a new screen since its all in one assembly. However, they said my screen is cracked a little and that it has voided the warranty and i will need to pay for a new screen in order to fix my speaker problem. Its not my problem that the speaker is in the one assembly as the screen and that they have to replace the whole thing. My question is that if this is true that my warranty is voided and that i need to pay for the new screen?

Thanks

Yes, the fact your screen is cracked, could have contributed to the issue with your speaker. Screens just don't crack on their own, so it's more than likely your phone fell on a hard surface also likely contributing to your speaker issue. Cracked screens are not, nor have they ever been covered by the warranty on iPhone. Thus, you'll need to pay for the screen to be replaced.
