why wont my force click go away after scrolling?

When I force click a link, the preview comes up but I won't go away unless I click on another part of the original page. I tried emptying my caches and even reinstalling it as well (since I'm using safari preview). also to tandem off this post, on regular safari, the entire site of youtube barely works. When I click a link, nothing happens, and sometimes only audio plays. I also tried clearing out my caches for that.

As a quick and easy "might work" solution you could try and reset the SMC. here is a link to a guide on how to do that: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

if that doesn't work, another easy fix would be to do a backup and then a system reinstall.
pros: you get a clean install

cons: it takes time

Mine is the same, with Safari Technology Preview 11.1. I'll file a bug report & , but it might be intentional.

No, it didn't work and I can't backup my computer since I don't have a time machine or anything alike. For the youtube problem, I guess ublock and ublock origin was causing it though.

A force-click or ctrl / 2-finger / right click to 'look up' shows the same altered behaviour in Safari Technology Preview 11.1
