Quicktime recording issue

When I screen record my iPhone 6s, Quicktime can only record audio for specific apps. For example, it can record audio from the Music and Photos app (when playing a video), but cannot record the audio from gaming apps. Why is this so? Software on iPhone and Macbook Pro are up to date.
