11.1 autocorrect I️ error still wreaking havoc

I have the new 11.1 software on iPhone se and whenever I type letter i it changes to this a with a box and question mark. I can’t always stop it because it will look normal but then I look at what sent and it is all coded crazy. I thought this was supposed to be fixed?!
