How to identify iPhones in Photos

In Photos you may create smart albums by different criteria. One of them is the type of camera, i.e. Canon, Olympus, Nikon etc. and the different iPhones.

I used to have an iPhone 4 S, and it was easy to distinguish that from my wife's 6S, but now both my wife and I have an iPhone 6S, and I can't figure out how to create a smart album showing i.e. only photos taken with her iPhone.

Is there any way to distinguish between the two iPhone 6S's?

Actually the reason why I want to distinguish is that her clock is behind my iPhone clock, and I want to adjust the time of her photos. This is easily done in Photos if only it is possible to distinguish between the to iPhones.

You can't. There's no smart album discrimination between same model iPhones. So maybe it's time you get your wife a new iPhone 8 or X as any good husband would and should do. 😉

For future photos are you not able to sync both iPhones to the same time or do they have different providers who are not synced time wise. 👿

Then you would need to add metadata to your photos right on the iPhones.

Metagear is supposed to be able to add copyright notices, titles, descriptions to batches of photos on the iPhone. It will depend on how you transfer the photos, if the metadata added on the iPhones will sync to the macs.

A brute force method would be to download the photos to separate Photos Libraries, until you have properly tagged them.

I would tag the photos taken by your wife with a keyword. Add the keyword, whenever you import photos from her iPhone. The "imports" album in Photos will group the photos by the Import session, so can select the photos from her iPhone there. Then you can create the smart album by using two constrains:
