I have transferred all my data from my mini ipad to a new ipad 5th generation. How do I return the mini ipad to factory settings without losing all the data on the ipad 5th generation?

I really wanted to know - if I restore mini ipad to factory settings, will it also restore my 5th generation ipad to factory settings? I have deleted some photos on the mini ipad, and it also deletes them from the 5th generation ipad.
iCloud photo syncing is different from your devices...restoring one will not wipe another
