Please try again.

Pretend you are explaining your situation to a small child. Include every detail you think might ever have any impact on the situation, including year, memory size, type of drive, and screen size of your Mac, what MacOS you are running and more.

Some of the best Helpers here are NOT native speakers of American English. Complete and cogent sentences without abbreviations, acronyms, and excessive jargon are required.

If this is a Hard Drive that is stuck and can only be pulled out 5mm, you need to power off your Mac Pro silver tower, lay it on its side, and examine with a bright light to see why the drive and its sled/carrier can not be removed fully. Perhaps a cable is out of place.

If this is a DVD reader, the enclosure that holds one or two DVD drives should be completely removed by pulling it out half way, disconnecting its cables, then completely removing it. The drives can then be removed from the enclosure, and their top plate removed for further analysis. The tray that holds the DVD sometimes gets misplaced on its track, and often replacing it at the proper location is all that is needed.
