MacOS Dictation

Has anyone experience using Dictation?

Specifically, has anyone experience of using dictation who is not able to use a physical keyboard and finds on-screen keyboard, or switch access too slow, and needs dictation for efficient text entry - say for report writing or emails?

I have tried this a few times and have found it hard to get consistently reliable dictation results.

It would be good to hear if anyone has got dictation working well, and any tips for getting consistent results.
