itunes asks me for passcode from an account that does not exist any more and i can not update my apps or download more. what should i do?

i have an iphone 6 updated to the latest ios version. a month ago apple asked me to reset my password from an account that i don’t use any more. and i did it. the thing is that i don’t want to use this account so i went to settings to accounts and password and then to app and website passwords and i changed apple.com to what i want. But i can’t update my apps. i used both passwords and nothing happened. what can i do?

Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were downloaded/purchased under. Delete the apps coming up with this request and re-buy or they are free apps, re-download them under the ID you currently use.
