Authorising computer stops iTunes from saving play count for songs.

If I deauthorise my computer, play counts for songs work. If I authorise my computer, when a song has finished playing it doesn't update the play count. For example:

(Deauthorised) Song finishes, play count jumps from 0 to 1.

(Authorised) Song finishes, play count goes from 0 to 0.

Help? Thank you!

Had the same issue. I deauthorized the computer, logged out of I-tunes account, shut down program, and rebooted the computer.

When I restarted I-tunes, logged back in to my account, and reauthorized the computer, the play count was updating normally.
