How do I transfer my beatles music to iCloud

I have many of the Beatles albums in my iTunes library on my iMac. I've tried a number of ways to transfer the songs to my iCloud account without any success.

I then would like to make them available for my iPhone 8 Plus. Could someone explain why this is happening or how to do it?

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I already have many Beatles albums in my iTunes on my iMac. I've been able to transfer them (and all my other songs, both purchased from Apple and owned by me on CD) to my iPhone 5.

I know want to put all the songs onto the iCloud so I can access them from my iPhone 8 Plus.

I am unable to connect the 8+ to the iMac because I've an old versions of iTunes and Mac OSX (they can not be updated).

Hopefully that explains it better.

I apologize for forgetting to include that info.

I have an iMac (mid 2010) running MacOSX 10.8.5. The version of iTunes is 12.4.3.1 I can communicate with my iPhone 5 (running iOS 10.3.3). I am limited to this configuration of the MacOSX and iTunes. The iPhone 5 can not be upgraded to a newer iOS.

Therefore I can not communicate directly to the iPhone 8Plus with iTunes.

That's way I'm using the iCloud for holding my music and transferring it to the 8Plus.

But while all the music I purchased from Apple has transferred, all my Beatles songs (that were put into iTunes from CD) will not. I would like to have that music on my 8Plus.
