Cannot load photo

Recently my phone has started saying it can not load the photos I have saved on it. They show up but there is an exclamation mark in a circle on the bottom right side of my screen. I have had to delete almost 600 photos that I've taken and it has made me very angry. When it started I had just updated to IOS 11 and even after getting the newest version the problem keeps showing up.
