Question: Albums in Photos

I just upgraded to High Sierra on my iMac late 2012

I always download the latest upgrades for all softwares

When I opened Photos, and after some presentation on the new upgrades, all my albums, with the exception of the current year albums, are not longer showing.

I tryed creating a new Smart Album, like pics in the last 10 years, but only shows some from last year and all bunched up, rather than in albums.

It appears that I lost like 30 to 40,000 pictures

Hi miperroeskia,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like you just upgraded macOS and now Photos does not see a lot of your photos. There are a couple reasons this could be. I would recommend you read this article and use it to help troubleshoot the issue.
