Albums in Photos

I just upgraded to High Sierra on my iMac late 2012

I always download the latest upgrades for all softwares

When I opened Photos, and after some presentation on the new upgrades, all my albums, with the exception of the current year albums, are not longer showing.

I tryed creating a new Smart Album, like pics in the last 10 years, but only shows some from last year and all bunched up, rather than in albums.

It appears that I lost like 30 to 40,000 pictures

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), Version 10.13.1

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like you just upgraded macOS and now Photos does not see a lot of your photos. There are a couple reasons this could be. I would recommend you read this article and use it to help troubleshoot the issue.

Find your pictures or albums after you migrate a library to Photos
