Legacy FireVault

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. Drive not encrypted, message exactly the same "You may not install to this volume because it has Legacy FileVault users".

Tried Ctrl+Click, no decrypt option.

Any advice would be very helpful... what about just doing a backup and reformatting?

If the Sonos app could cause this problem, is it possible some other 3rd party software could cause the same problem?

You should review all your 3rd party apps to see if there is something else you have installed causing the Legacy FileVault report

It may not be compatible with High Sierra since for some computers, the file system is changed. Decrepit the drive and try the update again.

I think @Eric Root meant *Decrypt the drive and try the update again.*. It was a typo.

Try going to System Preferences/Security & Privacy/FileVault and turn it off. It takes a while, so be patient.
