October Challenge Achievement disappeared

Series 3 LTE watch, iPhoneX

I had the October Challenge Achievement until I changed over to the new phone yesterday.

I backed up my iPhon6S Plus before changing phones so I expect the proper data would be there, but I don't want to just restore from the backup because I'd lose today, and at this hour it's too late to close all 3 rings in the Activity app again today.

Is there any way other than restarting both devices to try to get this back?

Apple Watch Series 3, watchOS 4.1

Hi there,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities, well done for completing the October Challenge, if you still have the older iPhone 6s Plus on the home screen, try to sign out of your iTunes & App Store account and sign in again, try that on your new device again.

If that does not work Contact Apple Support, once a challenge goes, you cannot do it again.

Keep fillling those rings,

Thanks for the quick reply!

As part of the changeover the guys at the store helped get my old phone ready to send in as it was traded in, so it was wiped.

Before I posted I did restart both the watch and the phone, but that didn't help.

As suggested, I signed out and back in again on the iPhoneX, but that didn't bring back the wayward October Challenge badge.

Since I have closed all rings every day so far this month, and picked up the Veteran's Day challenge, I have a lot more to lose by going back in time than just the October Challenge badge. The oldest backup I have is from midday on the 10th so I would lose half of that and all of the 11th if I rolled back to that backup. That would cost me my November Perfect Month, and all 4 badges for this week.

I wish I had noticed it sooner - Like when we were doing the phone change

I ended up contacting support. We determined that there was an encrypted backup on my computer that would have the missing achievement badge, but it was going to cost me about 6 Achievements to get that one back. It wasn't worth it so I decided to let it go.

Hi DanSV_FL,

Unluckily that that happened, but the boring saying goes on “backup your stuff”

Apple will have a Christmas Challenge for all, and a November challenge so keep filling those rings
