iCloud Drive in Finder displays no files

My iCloud Drive files do not appear in Finder. In Finder when I select iCloud Drive the Status Bar says 0 items. If I look at my iCloud Drive via Safari at iCloud.com all files are visible.

Files were appearing in Finder yesterday, now they don't.

Recently upgraded to High Sierra 10.13.1.

I solved it by creating a new file in Numbers. Some reason it caused my Macbook to retrieve files from iCloud Drive.
