Question: High Sierra Crashed my iMac. did anyone encounter the same problem?

Was halfway updating High Sierra suddenly stop working and my mac was restart saying “Your computer restarted because of a problem” after hitting a button came up status say that Mac OS Version : Not Yet Set

Which model iMac do you have? Last evening I received the update notice and saw that the High Sierra installer had automatically downloaded to my 21.5" iMac (late-2013).


After reading about some of the issues folks have had, I'm a bit spooked about installing it.


My iMac is stock, and the only third-party S/W is my HP 4502 print driver.

If you're still unable to access the macOS see

About macOS Recovery - Apple Supportand try reinstalling the macOS without erasing the computer.
