iPhone SE with Chinese SIM

Hi there,

I have an unlocked iPhone SE (model 1723) and a Chinese SIM card from China Telecom. According to Apple’s support page, this model should work on the betwork like a charm. Unfortunalety, that’s not the case.

I tried restarting the phone, downloading the carrier settings, resetting the network settings and then downloading again, but nothing helped. 99% of the time the phone diaplays “No Service”. Interestingly, the “About” screen shows the correct network provider and also my data plan. Here is a screenshot:

Any idea or suggestion would be appreciated!

Here is what Apple recommends.

If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If none of these tips help, the likely problem is that the activation policy on the phone is not compatible with the network you are trying to use. That is not something the user can modify. You can contact Apple Support to confirm the current activation policy.
