Duplicated photos after Photos import

Whenever I import my photos into the Photos app in High Sierra, a duplicate photo appears on my iPhone X on iOS 11.1

So now, I have 2 of every photo I have taken, but only the ones I have taken from the X. I have never seen this behavior before and I have no clue if its iOS, macOS or the X.
