Worth the upgrade or not?

Hi, I upgraded Mac OS Sierra to High Sierra as soon as it came out. However, I noticed some bug on the display when waking up from sleep. I decided to downgrade the OS to Mac OS Sierra and the problem doesn't seem to occur. Is it ok not to upgrade my OS or is there any consequences not upgrading the OS?
