high kernel_task memory, preview lags and beachballs, mac overheats and safari slow

CPU and RAM running very high. not sure when this started to occur or what i may have changed which has caused this. but my mac is brand new but is constantly running slow and overheating and doing weird things. I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015). Basically anytime i use preview it runs horribly slow and lags (for many minutes often requiring a force quit), PDFs can take minutes to open, safari takes much monger to load pages, downloads will finish but take forever to appear on desktop (which is where i save my downloads), screenshots lag to appear on desktop (can take minutes), apps beachball and do not respond (usually occurs with preview and safari but others as well), safari just crashes and disappears sometimes (i do not keep more that 10 tabs open at once), ive done many things to solve this issue but none have worked. in no particular order ..

- simple restart (many times throughout this process)

- reset PRAM and SMC

- installed clean my mac 3 (ran it) then uninstalled the app

- emptied various cache and preference files/folders from library

- emptied cache from safari developer menu

- disabled and uninstalled all plugins and extensions (leaving only adblock, java and adobe reader)

- uninstalled many apps including Flash

- updated all software, apps, extensions ext.

- went to disk utilities and performed "fix aid"

- performed backup on time machine to free up more space

- optimized iCloud storage and deleted many files from iCloud

- I disabled Safari DNS prefetching in terminal (i think???) (i typed some script into terminal, with apparent change afterwards)

- I updated to macOS 10.3.1 High Sierra

so far the best thing i did was delete as many documents from my Macintosh HD as possible that seems to have solved the high CPU problem (which was running at 97-100% constantly) and has made the overall lag time a little more bearable but memory is still running at 1GB all the time and I still having many of the aforementioned functional issues.

here is the report from etrecheck ..

let me know what you guys think.

thanks,

Zach

yes i already have. i doubt they are the problem because i installed them to try and fix them problem. i have also uninstalled all the apps listed from the list below except for java and adobe reader DC. there must be something running in the background which is causing kernel_task to run so high. it doesn't make sense that i click a PDF or screenshot and preview freezes instantly. its non-functional to use like this and it is a pretty new laptop.
