I can't open my Photos app. When I try to open it, it says "Photos cannot find the System Photo Library named “Photos Library.photoslibrary”", and I can't find it anywhere. It got deleted all of a sudden. Where can I download it again?

I searched for it all over but I really couldn't find it. I don't understand how it got deleted.

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13)

Where did you keep the Photos Library? By default it will be in your Pictures folder. Check the Pictures folder, if you can see any Photos Library there. Did you move the Photos Library to a different folder? It needs to be on your system drive or a locally mounted drive, not a NAS and not in any folder that is synced with a cloud, like Dropbox, iCloud Drive, or Google drive That will destroy the Photos library.

Check, if Photos can find any Photos Library by launching Photos while holding down the options key ⌥. Keep holding down the options key, until you are seeing the library chooser panel. Does Photos show any libraries at all?

Where can I download it again?

The Photos Library is storing all your photos. It is not part of the Photos.app, so you cannot download it from the AppStore.

If you have been using iCloud Photo Library and syncing your library with iCloud, you can start over with a new, empty library and enable iCloud Photo Library again and wait for your library to download from iCloud. Otherwise you will have to restore the Photos Library from a backup, if you cannot find it.
