High Sierra: How can I disable the Spotlight timeout after using it as calculator?

Just upgraded to OSX 10.13.1. I frequently use the Spotlight as a calculator to solve P hysics problems--I like being able to type sequences such as this:

-120 * 4e-7 * pi * 22000 * pi * 0,018^2 *(-1.5)/25e-6

which, mind you, is not possible in the Calculator app.

Sometimes I need to leave the results onscreen to copy them and/or edit the entire calculation at specific points.

I used to be able to this just fine until the recent update. Now the Spotlight window quickly disappears after I've calculated a result. Is there any way to disable this?
