... and if you access your CenturyLink email account using a web browser, do the messages disappear there as well? Also is your CenturyLink account a POP or IMAP account? Do you access it from other devices as well?
Ok, I'm glad you got it working.
FYI. A POP account allows the first email client that accesses it to download all of the messages from the server. If you try accessing with another client immediately after that, it would find all of the messages "missing." You can avoid this behavior by switching to an IMAP account if CenturyLink provides one.
Who is your email provider? When this issue occurs, are you using the Mail app or a web browser to access that email provider?
Mail app Mac Pro
Ok, I understand that this issue is with using the Mail App on your Mac Pro, but who is your email provider (Apple's iCloud, Gmail, AOL, etc.?)
Centurylink
I only access it with mail app. Centurylink uses pop only. I deleted my email account and set back up and seems to be working fine.
I appreciate your help and will try your procedure if this happens again. Thanks again.
