Powerbook Duo 270c wrong shut down

Hi everyone.

I have here a Powerbook Duo 270c with System 7.5. It worked perfectly until I accidentally did a hard reset by unplugging the power supply. When I boot up now a message appears that says that I did not turn of the Computer properly and should use the designated shut down function in the future. However when I want to click on "Ok" nothing happens. The Messages just stays there and renders the Computer useless. I bootet from the Disk with the Disk Utilitys and that works. But as soon as I boot from the hard drive the messages appears again. I also did a PRAM reset with no effect.

Is there maybe a way to reset all error messages so that it would not bring it up again?

When booting from a Disk Tools floppy (in the external floppy drive), did you verify (and, if necessary, repair) the hard disk using Disk First Aid?

Any difference if you try booting from the hard disk with extensions off (holding down the Shift key)?

If Disk First Aid shows that all is OK, you may want to try to use Apple HD SC Setup to update the hard disk driver (do NOT initialise the drive). Before attempting to update the hard disk driver software, one should always have/make backup copies of important files.

Have you tried resetting the Power Manager (press and hold the rear power button for 45 seconds)?
