Is AppleCare+ worth the cost?

I just purchased a MBP 15" w touchbar. I did not get the AppleCare+ warranty yet and haven't decided what to do. I have several weeks to decide. Is the $380 usd worth the AppleCare+ warranty? Companies create these warranties to make money. I know nothing is certain. Years ago I had a MBP but went to Windows because I had continuous key board problems and had it replaced 2x during the 3 years I had the computer. Many have stated that is unusual and it probably is. My son had a MacBook for 6+ years with no issues. Also an iMac since 2009 still running with no issues.

I am just trying to learn and get feedback on any issues people have experienced with the MBP versions for 2016 and 2017.
