MacBook Pro 15" Late 2011 Audio Problem

Hi folks,

I've got a MacBook Pro 15" Late 2011 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 machine and my audio output has developed an issue I'm hoping I can get some guidance on.

Sound has become broken every couple of seconds it jumps or breaks, like a speaker connection, is damaged or incomplete. As such the audio on everything that I play from the machine is jumpy. If I have an audio card issue is it possible to replace the card? Any links to audio card repair/replacement tutorials would be appreciated.
