How do I cut off the voice when I compose txt messages. It keeps speaking the letters I type.

Every time I txt someone, a voice comes on & repeats every letter I write. How can I turn this off?

Check the settings under "Settings" / "Accessibility" / "Voiceover". You have probably turned something on in there....

For iPhone X the option is buried. Settings> General> Accessibility> Speech> Typing Feedback> Speak Auto-text (off)
