Question: Detaching audio in FCP 10.3.4

I find on my iMac (running Sierra 10.12.6) that I cannot use any key strokes to detach audio from clips. Those listed in the drop down menu do not work for me. It only works by clicking 'detach audio' in the drop down menu. Does anyone else have this problem ?

Answer:

Control-Shift-S is the default keyboard shortcut for Detach Audio.

Is that what you see in the dropdown menu? Do you hear a beep or something indicating the shortcut is not recognized?
