My son shut down his MacBook Pro yesterday during an upgrade or update, not sure which, because it was taking too long. Now he receives a message "Your computer restarted because of a problem. Press a key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up." "panic(cpu 2 callerBxfff.... " Does anyone know what to do with this?
I rebooted then held Command R and a list of actions came up I added the new High Sierra somehow and it worked IDK how I actually did it but it's fixed, Thanks Kappy, your advice led me to the recovery link ;-)

Try restarting once more. If you still receive the kernel panic then see: Mac OS X- How to log a kernel panic. Copy and paste the log entry for the most recent panic in your next post.
