power button doesnt work after update to ios 11.1.1

If I use the shut down feature in general settings will it reboot my phone so the side power button will work again? I replaced battery and did the software update and the phone has acted up ever since, zooms in and opens pages on its own, and I can’t power off. Most recent update to iOS 11.1.1iphone 6s
