Question: How to search for a particular emoji?

When using the Messages app on my MacBook, I can search for a particular emoji; there's a search box in the emoji window that allows one to type in the name of an object or some such, and if there's an emoji that corresponds to it, it will appear. I can't find a similar search function in the emoji window of my iPhone when messaging. How can I search for a particular emoji on iPhone without scrolling thru the emojis?

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.1

There isn't a search window, but I know that if you are typing words in your message and change to the emoji list, the words in the message that have a corresponding emoji will change color to a reddish, orange, and you can click on them and get the emoji. So, it is like a search, only different. That is the best that I can offer.
