Question: Razer Orochi mouse over USB on OSX

Hi,

For the past few years I've been trying to get my Razer Orochi USB mouse working reliably on my MBA 11". I've tried since I had a mac fro El Capitaine until 10.13. The mouse something works, and something does not, with or without the drivers from Razer. This mouse works reliably on Windows7/8 and Ubuntu 12 onwards. Razer support have always claimed this was an Apple problem & Apple said it's Razer's problem. Saying this, Razer mouse support for Apple has always felt forgotten.

Today, I plugged the mouse, and like usual it's not doing anything. Yet an ioreg tells me it's there and recognised:

# ioreg -p IOService

| | +-o XHC1@14 <class IOPCIDevice, id 0x100000249, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (55043 ms), retain 13>

| | | +-o XHC1@14000000 <class AppleUSBXHCIWPT, id 0x10000027d, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (54593 ms), retain 148>

| | | +-o HS01@14100000 <class AppleUSB20XHCIPort, id 0x100000308, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (3330 ms), retain 14>

| | | | +-o Razer Orochi@14100000 <class IOUSBHostDevice, id 0x100002d23, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (3330 ms), retain 18>

| | | | +-o AppleUSBHostLegacyClient <class AppleUSBHostLegacyClient, id 0x100002d26, !registered, !matched, active, busy 0, retain 8>

| | | | +-o AppleUSBHostCompositeDevice <class AppleUSBHostCompositeDevice, id 0x100002d2e, !registered, !matched, active, busy 0, retain 4>

Where else can I look for errors etc? Usual places in /var/log did not give me anything useful. Did I miss something?

Kind regards, Sophie.
