Lags in using internet or typing

since the last update to 11.1 my iPad Pro 12.9 lags behind while using. When I’m on the internet if I’m switching to another app or changing internet pages I have to wait several seconds for the iPad to catch up. Same thing on typing. Is there a fix for this? It’s very frustrating.
