Unable to sent pdf from iOS 10.3.3 to macOS 10.12.6 using AirDrop

It is not possible to send pdf documents from iBooks via AirDrop.

Sender is iPhone 6S iOS 10.3.3, receiver is iMac 2013 10.12.6.

PDF documents were created by sending some content from other apps to iBooks on same device.

Send attempts end with error pop-up ' "sender-device-name" cancelled the copy '.


Doing that from other app than iBooks works fine (remaining configuration unchanged).


How to fix it?
