Lost Icloud Password

Started Icloud password recovery process only to find out it takes 2 weeks before I get an email or phone call with recovery instructions. Anyone know how to reset the icloud password on an IPad running IOS 11.1.1

Apple has created an automated security system and I hope maybe someone has a work around. Also you can no longer wipe and reset up the iPad without the password. Tried that approach. Thank you for your help.
