iPhone 6 restore errors at install firmware

I am seeing the connect to iTunes on my iPhone 6 after trying to update to iOS 11.1.1😢

I have followed the advice online at If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support and the restore extracts software, updates, verifies and then errors (-1) at install firmware...about 2/3rds through.

Can you advise what to do to have the restore complet, at the moment my iPhone is unusable 😟

Hi

Turn iPhone off Make sure your pc is running the latest iTunes 12.7

Connect lead to USB on your pc

Press & hold just the power button down on iPhone don't let go

Connect lead to iPhone keep power button pressed down until pc sees iPhone Then wait for restore you may need to do this more than once Before it works.

Hi, I’m running iTunes 12.7.1.14 and have now tried several times to do the restore but each time it errors at “updating iPhone firmware“. What is causing this and what can I do to get the restore to complete and hopefully resolve the issue with my iPhone?
