Apple Watch cellular doesn’t work

I have paired my iPhone with my apply watch and set up cellular with my carrier, Sprint (it’s a family plan so I can’t switch), yet when I’m not around my phone I can’t make/receive phone calls and I can’t respond to text messages. I’ve turned cellular on and off multiple times, restarted my phone and watch, turned off WiFi on my phone, and nothing seems to fix this problem. If I had known the cellular doesn’t work I wouldn’t have paid for the service/watch.

If you still need help, then I suggest that you contact your carrier in the first instance.

If the issues persist, then, depending on your carrier's advice, I suggest that you next contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assistance:

I imagine that we are in the minority; but I have the same problem with my cellular Apple Watch 3 on AT&T. I have spent the last three months trying to get it to receive calls over cellular and no luck. I have worked many hours with several Apple advisors and senior advisors and specialists and collected logs for engineers from the watch and still the problem persists. I can receive calls when my watch is near my phone; but, when it is only on cellular without the phone, the watch doesn't ring. I have even gotten a new watch and that doesn't work correctly either. One of the advisors suggested the problem may be with my phone because it doesn't work with the either the old or the new watch. I've also taken it to the Genius Bar and gotten no answer about how to fix it. I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem and how they might have resolved it.
