Airdropping Live Photos

When I tried to airdrop live photos from iphone6s ios9.0.2 to a iphone 7 ios11.1, It shows it in a different format than normal photo and asks me where to save it (icloud drive etc) when I select it to save to photos, it crashes very time.

Is there a way to redirect the live photos to save into photos as default?
