MacBook Pro slowing down; system preferences won't open; safari toolbar incomplete

Recently I downloaded two new applications to my MacBook Pro (Adobe Pro and Big Fish Games). My computer slowed way down and I decided that I didn't want those applications. I have tried to uninstall, but worry I didn't do it completely, as I am having trouble with incredibly slow booting up time, slow internet response, a very annoying creative cloud icon on my safari toolbar. Now my safari toolbar is messed up - no icons, no arrows (just blank spaces). I have tried to remove applications to trash can, removed utilities associated with Adobe, and rebooted. I need some help as to what else I can do. And system preferences crashes every time I try to open it.

Hello wsfvt91,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you are having issues with your system slowing down and other symptoms. I would begin by restarting the computer in safe mode and testing for the issue. This support article will describe how and what do try based on the results:

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

If the issue occurs in safe mode, you can also test the issue in a new user. This article outlines that process:

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Once you have done this and need further assistance, get back to us with updated info and we can continue from there to sort out what is going on.

Best regards.
