why is the timer sound so low on my iPhone X
It seems no matter what I try, the sound level of the timer will not increase to a level I can hear.

Your advise allowed me to address my concern. In addition, I found that face recognition on iphone X automatically unlocks the phone (something we had to physically do using all previous models), which seriously lowers the volume the moment you go to look at what the alarm is for. You most likely are aware of this, but if not, I thought I would let you know.
