until the recent update to iOS 11, I could delete several old podcast episodes at once. with the update, the button to select multiple podcasts in a list to delete appears to be gone. How do i delete several podcasts without swiping them away one by one?

I also am not happy about this, I only listen to about 50% of a particular podcast, and it use to be I could easily delete multiple casts by clicking the circle and deleting them all, now its a multi-step process for each cast done one at a time, consequently I now have several hundred I need to delete. I am drowning in unwanted podcasts.
I think all of us agree multiple-delete is a needed function. Hopefully you have added your feedback to the chorus to let Apple know we want it back. https://www.apple.com/feedback/podcasts_ios.html
