I upgraded to High Sierra 10.13.1 last night and now my Adobe Lightroom 6 will not launch.
Surely, Apple didn't "break" Adobe Lightroom to move people to the new Photo! That would really be frustrating after Apple abandoned Aperture and forced me to move to Adobe Lightroom.

Lightroom 6 (or Lightroom CC 2015.x) should work just fine
on High Sierra without having to jump through hoops.
Make sure you have all the updates applied that are available.
Also note, that Adobe is dropping support for the standalone
version of Lightroom and forcing people to their "Creative Cloud"
subscription service. You may want to consider their Photography
Plan ($10 a month U.S.) or abandoning Adobe altogether for other
alternatives.

I resolved the problem, with Apple Support, by uninstalling LR6 and installing LR Classic CC ... and gave up and bought the $10/mo Photography CC subscription.
I still cannot figure out how to migrate my LR Classic CC library to LRCC and preserve all of the albums and folders, though. Seems like that would be a Frequently Asked Question.... it is a little scary when you launch LR CC, and it asks you to “Add a photo” and the “Album” choices are “None” or “New”.
Lightroom CC is a totally new app. It is the new "cloud smart"
version.
If you want the same functionality as Lightroom 6, only use Lightroom CC Classic.
It should be able to open Lightroom 6 catalogs but will convert them to a new format.
The new format will be unusable by older versions of Lightroom. Thank you very much
Adobe.
For Lightroom 6, install update 6.13 available on the Adobe site. Worked for me.
