Dropped my iPhone 6 in water and didn't immediately turn it off.

About 2 days ago I accidentally dropped my phone in the toilet at a party. I didn't know to immediately turn it off so I just dried it and hoped for the best (which I now realise was a bad idea). A few minutes after the screen went funny (with stripes) and it died. I had no idea what to do with it and no one had any internet to google it so I just put it on charge which didn't do anything and was again probably a terrible idea. The next morning when I got home I put it in a bag of rice and it has been sitting in the rice for the past 48 hours. I have tried turning it on but it is unresponsive so I put it on charge and the charging icon came up for 2 seconds but then quickly disappeared. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do now? Like is it completely screwed or is it worth getting fixed if thats even possible at this stage??

Just in case you need a second opinion, KiltedTim gave you the right solution. Your phone is toast and you need to go to your Apple Store and pay for an out of warranty replacement. Now if this was my phone, I wouldn't walk out of the Apple Store with another iPhone 6. I'd ask them to recycle the phone and take the minor credit they'll offer you and apply that towards a newer model. But that's just me.
