Is there any escape from Ken Burns effect in Photos iOS11?

I can't stand the perpetual nauseating (literally--as in motion-sickness inducing) Ken Burns effect in iOS 11 Photos slideshows. I recall that there was some way to turn it off in iOS10 slideshows but can't discover any escape from it in iOS11 Photos.

Is there any way to kill it dead, forever, permanently? or at least for a single slideshow, one at a time?
