Does turning off iTunes Match affect my iCloud Music Library?

Hi,

So I have had iTunes Match for two years and recently got Apple Music. I was wondering if I should keep iTunes Match or let it expire. Also when it expires, will my entire library have to be rescanned? Would my iCloud Music Library be affected or is it fine because I have an active Apple Music subscription?

iTunes Match features are largely included in your Apple Music subscription so you shouldn’t need both. Since iTunes Match and Apple Music both use iCloud Music Library, I would assume that everything would remain the same, without the need to rescan your library.

I would however as a precaution advise that all your songs have been downloaded from iCloud onto your computer and that you back up your iTunes library, but as long as your Apple Music subscription is active when you iTunes Match expires, the transition should be automatic.
