Time Machine "Backup Now" Broken in 10.13.1

I've noticed several times now that the option to "Backup Now" stops working in High Sierra 10.13.1. When I check the console, I get the following error every time I try it:

error23:35:18.528472 -0500backupdBackup failed with error 17: 17

A reboot fixes the issue. Any ideas?

Hello seraphilia,

Looks like no one has had a chance to reply to your question. If you’re able to answer a few questions, it might help others answer your question.

When did this started? Where are you doing your backup to, external hard drive, Time Capsule? Do you have encrypted backups?

Take care.
