iOS 11.2 issue with texting android users

Ever since my phone updated to iOS 11.2 the texts that I send to android users are delivered in small pieces. I’ve rebooted and tried changing settings. Everything except resetting my network settings. I have an iPhone 6s. Please help me fix this very annoying issue.
